Join us for our fourth annual Dance Medicine Campout !!!

Dance Medicine Philly enthusiastically invites YOU, from May 9th-12th to our crowning yearly weekend festival experience.

Our campout festival is a coming together of ecstatic dance enthusiasts from around the region. Not only will we be ecstatically dancing to some of the BEST music and performers, the weekend experience will be filled with enriching workshops, plenty of lovely community interaction and the natural beauty of the Poconos mountains. The land will be pulsating during our three day expression. Everyone will be moving and grooving throughout the land, going between yoga classes, bonfires, fire spinning, amazing chill out spaces, healing modalities and so much more. 🌙🤸‍♂️🏕️🔥

The Dance Medicine Campout will take place at Resica Falls Boy Scout camp in the Pocono Mountains. The sweet spring air will be bursting with the excitement of new life and in May we will be feeling the warm sun on our skin. Recisa falls is a 500 acre forested camp which we will have to ourselves throughout the weekend. We have big fields with which to play in, a gushing cold river to swim in and do plunges and an amazing waterfall on the property to look at. 🌎🏕 🏞🔥🪵✨

There are heated sleeping cabins on site and plenty of areas to set up your tent. We will dance both in the open sky and inside a beautiful large hall. There will be options for a full meal plan and plenty of food vendors to purchase nourishing dance sustaining foods and drinks.

What makes our event so special? It’s the community!!! Our annual Campout is like a family gathering with beautiful souls you may already know and ones you might be looking for! It’s the coming together of great conscious minds who seek a life of self expression and connection. We welcome people from everywhere (up here, down there and out there) including anybody who is new to ecstatic dance and this community. We aim to create an inclusive event with activities that foster connections. You can come alone and still feel connected or you can come with a group and welcome people into the journey. The campout is an immersive experience that encourages you to discover something new about yourself and about how you interact with the world. 🌿🍀🍄🌕💥🌈

🎶 Live DJ’s & Music:

Artists to be announced soon! We have some world renowned DJ's coming… (probably already on your Spotify playlist) … so there will be many opportunities to express yourself through ecstatic dance during the weekend.

🌎 Exploration spaces:

At any moment the campout will have multiple areas for you to experience. In addition to the main ecstatic dance areas, there will be a healing tea space if you feel the need to chillax. We will have a sound relaxation immersion area. We will have a more down tempo area where you can play contact improv or just hang out.

💫Workshops:

Throughout each day there will be a range of workshops for you to explore, expand & enliven your soul. We will have a full range of experiences for all types of interests and people, including social dancing, authentic relating, plant walks, breath work and movement related activities. All these workshop topics and expertise comes right from our community. If you have an idea for something you’d like to offer, don’t hesitate to send us an application. There are limited spaces for workshops.

⛺️Sleeping Accommodations:

1. You can pitch a tent in the spot that attracts you the most. There will be both shaded and sunny locations.

2. You may also bring a Camper Van or RV to sleep in. There is a nice area for you to congregate with other RVers.

3. Heated cabins! If camping isn’t your thing, Resica falls has several heated cabins where you can sleep in for an extra cost. These will be shared dormitory spaces, but if you want to form a group of friends to stay with please coordinate with us. 🌃

🥙Food:

Do you want some delicious vegan//vegetarian food all weekend? There is an amazing option to purchase 5 catered meals for a weekend meal pass. We are only offering full meal options which include Breakfast Friday, Dinner Friday, Breakfast Saturday, Dinner Saturday, Breakfast Sunday. Be sure to evaluate this option when you purchase your ticket! We will also have food vendors on site with healthy, hearty meals, vibing elixirs and superfoods.

👩‍👦Children:

-We welcome children to the Dance Medicine Campout however there will not be any child care areas or activities specifically directed for children however they can participate in all the events.

-Children 15 years old and younger receive free entry ! You just need to purchase a meal plan for them if you plan on feeding them!

📝Parameters:

We are hosting an alcohol and substance free event . It's a wonderful opportunity to experience the mystical effects of dance and genuine human connection with a clear mind and body. We also request that phones and cameras stay off the dance floor, as this is our sacred space. In this sober, connected and playful environment, it is more than a party. The Dance Medicine Campout is an opportunity to experience community in its aspirational form, where everyone is celebrated and supported as the unique beings that they are.

If you can not attend for any reason, you can sell your ticket to someone else. But please be aware that you are responsible for verifying the legitimacy of the person you are exchanging your ticket with. Dance Medicine Philly is not responsible for spamming, and purchasers should always be careful when purchasing your ticket or selling your ticket to someone else.

-4 weeks or more before the event, we’ll refund you 50% (until April 10th)

-Between 4 weeks and 1 week before the event, we'll refund you 25% (until May 2nd)

-1 week before the event there are no refunds but you are still welcome to transfer your ticket to someone else.
